Cherry Cream Cheese Dessert

This recipe is from my mother. Greatest cook of all time. I made it for a work party and thought I would share the fabulous recipe.

What you need:

1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 egg, seperated
2 (8 oz.) tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
1 can cherry pie filling

Round pizza sheet, mine is 12"

Glaze:
1/4 cup milk (I use 2%)
2-3 Tbls. confectioner's sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, confectioner's sugar, and 1 egg yolk. Open the crescent packages and leave two triangles out. Spray sheet with pam cooking spray. Make a wreath shape with crescent triangles, smooshing each into each other and connecting. Take cream cheese mixture and spread evenly on top of crescent wreath.

Open cherry pie filling, spoon evenly on top of cream cheese mixture. Do not spread, just drop in spoonfuls. I rarely use the entire can.

Take the remaining two triangles of crescent and cut into strips. Twist the strips and lay diagonally across width of wreath. Leaving a few inches between each strip. Just a cute added touch.
Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over entire wreath. Bake at 350 for 15-23 minutes or until crescent is golden brown.

Owl cake

Cake I made for Olivia's birthday party! Precious little niece of mine. Got ideas from pinterest and made my own version of each idea. I really enjoy decorating cakes. Edible creativity!

Springfield Half Marathon

I ran my third half marathon this past weekend in Springfield, IL. It has taken a lot of motivation the past few months to get out there and run 3 times a week! So happy I stuck to it and achieved my goal, again! I am especially proud of my oldest sister Amanda. It was her first half and she is a mother of three, so finding the time to run isn't easy! She did amazing! Also, i'm very thankful for my cousin Cory who coached me through some side stitches I got during the race. Thank you Jesus for giving me legs that run.
